💡 Video from a local television station showed one of the elephants in the procession suddenly bolting from a group of people in the town of Kotte, located near Colombo.

💡 Earlier this month, 17 people were injured at a religious procession in Kotte when two elephants ran amok.

💡 “It’s a miracle nobody was injured,” Mayor Gido Oude Kotte told Dutch broadcaster NOS.
